We are looking for a colleague to work for our Data Research & Insights team in the International Digital News Department as a Data Scientist in İstanbul.

Job Description

• Have ownership of computational models related to core products and content,

• Drive both explorative and exploitative analysis,

• Drive the use of AI and automation to make computation efficient,

• Provide continuous development of computational models and benchmarking,

• Assist with business, revenue and product analysis,

• Apply expertise in data mining, computation, quantitative analysis to communicate observations,

• Deliver data storytelling and presentation with and beyond numerical analysis,

• Work with engagement, audience, content, management, development and business, development teams to provide insight and support on product and service offerings,

• Develop strategy for computation and quantitative analysis roadmap.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in Data Science or quantitative/computational roles,

• Good grasp of Python,

• Experience in communicating and translating complex analysis to a business stakeholder audience,

• Exposure to machine learning, advanced statistics and optimisation,

• Working knowledge of common open source computation stack including Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplolib, Jupyter Notebooks or Google Colab,

• Track record in identifying, scoping and executing complex computational tasks,

• Experience in content, marketing and ad-tech environments is an asset.
