We are looking for a colleague to work for our Product and Development team in the International Digital News Department as a Senior Engineer in İstanbul.

Job Description

• Manage technical products and code ownership,

• Deliver mentorship and team leadership,

• Ensure formulation and revisioning of technical standards,

• Have ownership of designated technology roadmap and architecture,

• Have ownership of deployment workflows and production infrastructure,

• Provide continuous software development and deployment,

• Optimise performance and database queries,

• Lead code review process,

• Ensure overall code quality and delivery of assigned tasks,

• Deliver documentation.

Qualifications

• At least 4+ years in software development,

• Experience in Docker, Elastic and AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway a plus,

• Experience in management of SQL and NoSQL databases,

• Experience in technical leadership and direction setting,

• Advanced knowledge of NodeJS, GIT and Agile Development,

• Familiarity with Nuxt and Vue a plus,

• Deep understanding of software engineering/computer science fundamentals,

• Working knowledge of CI/CD, REST, GraphQL, Redis

• Proficiency in data migration and risk mitigation,

• Exposure to DevOps, machine learning, computation models and optimisation is an asset.
