Urdu - Speaking Senior Communications & Publicity Officer

TRT (Global Entertainment) is looking for an Urdu-Speaking Senior Communications & Publicity Officer with 5+ years of experience to deliver key projects in Communications & Publicity for its upcoming International expansion project. The successful candidate will be equipped and excited to drive publicity campaigns. As well as, assist in developing communications strategies for TRT International across various markets where Urdu language is the primary language. This role requires a Strategic & Creative mind that can create meaningful and groundbreaking PR campaigns from inception through execution.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of TRT International strategies, drive the collaborative efforts, and inspire teammates on all levels to exceed expectations. In addition, will also be responsible for managing the stakeholders relationship for all things related to brand perception.

The Communications & Publicity team at TRT International is responsible for communicating the broader TRT story, inclusive of its flagship titles, product features, strategic partnerships, and policy issues. The team creates awareness of TRT content production and its attributes through storytelling across a wide-range of platforms such as digital social networks, TV, and print.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Drive a multi-channel (Above the Line, Below the Line and Digital) communications strategy, and track progress and efficiency of implementations with analysis and reports, 

  • Prepare and manage all communications material within Urdu-speaking countries - Pakistan, India,

  • Provide tailored content curation strategy, from TRT’s library of content, for Urdu speaking markets,

  • Collaborate with the Brand and Design Teams in order to communicate audience driven promotional strategy for creative executions,

  • Analyze media coverage, research and prepare necessary materials for various media platforms,

  • Develop, communicate and monitor brand voice and maintain brand integrity and coherence across all platforms,

  • Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders for Urdu-Language media internationally as well as in local markets,

  • Assist in the creation of messaging content in digital, video, audio and print formats,

  • Track engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions,

  • Organise and manage presence at industry events and conferences, create engagement, positive public opinion and interest in the brand and establish strong partnerships,

  • Manage regional budget and ensure compliance.


KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION


  • Have at least 5 years of experience in PR (in-house or agency) or digital media Journalism -- preferably with experience in the media, technology, or agency sector specifically in Urdu and targeting key Urdu-speaking markets,

  • Have a global mindset and strong business acumen, preferably with experience of working in multicultural environments,

  • Understand the digital media and competition landscape in key Urdu-speaking markets- Pakistan, India, Afghanistan etc,

  • Have excellent judgment as well as very strong writing and communication and public speaking skills in Urdu and English,

  • Have passion for entertainment and is excited at the prospect of delivering stories from all over the world to people from different backgrounds in key Urdu markets,

  • Ability to build a strong network of relationships with journalists and media,

  • Be adept at brand reputation and media issues management,

  • Bea self-starter and proactive who comes up with new approaches and is eager to try those out new/innovative campaigns,

  • Has a strong bias-to-action and can change course, be scrappy and get things done on short timeframes,

  • Demonstrate previous experience managing and implementing a multi-channel communication strategy for a product/service Launch or brand campaign in a predominantly Urdu-speaking country,

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written skills. Results oriented, self-motivated.
