Head of Partnerships

TRT (Global Entertainment) is looking for a head with 7+ years of experience to handle it’s partnerships division for its upcoming International expansion project. The partnerships head would be responsible for building TRT International’s presence globally through strategic partnerships with Internet Service Providers, Telco’s, Pay TV’s and more. He/she will be responsible for establishing key partnerships and working closely with other departments in order to grow the viewership across several platforms. This role will also contribute to the development & growth of TRT International in key markets whilst generating revenue.

The role will be reporting to the manager of global business development. The partnerships team main goal will be to grow the user base of the service through escalating existing agreements and tapping into traditional and non-traditional deals.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Define & implement partnership strategy according to regions.

  • Generate maximum reach.

  • Develop & manage relationships with Pay TV, broadband and mobiles operators.

  • Attending & representing TRT in key industry events & markets.

  • Manage a dedicated team.

  • Create budgets in key markets & ensure maximum return on investment.

  • Liaise with the Marketing & Communications team in order to develop & implement marketing campaigns.

  • Negotiating agreements, creating quarterly subscriber targets and generating revenue and growth through each agreement.

  • Track engagement of users on each platform, tailor specific campaigns where needed in collaboration with the marketing team.

  • Building unique and unorthodox marketing partnerships across brands outside the content industry.

  • Constant collaboration required with internal& external teams including product, engineering, marketing, finance &legal.

  • Requires 30-40% of travel.


KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline. MBA is a plus or equivalent work experience.

  • 7 plus years of Media, digital, content/channel distribution/sales or related experience.

  • Prior experience of business development & sales.

  • Strong understanding of Pay TV, Telecoms & the broadband market.

  • Experience managing key accounts & high level contract/business negotiations.

  • Knowledge on legal aspects and contractual issues. A constant workflow of business agreements.

  • Previous marketing experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Established contacts & relations is a must.

  • Partner engagement skills with the ability to manoeuvre around high-level negotiations whilst receiving the best outcome for the business.

  • Previous knowledge of SVOD, AVOD is a plus.

  • Ability to travel on short notice.

  • Native or near native English is a must. Any additional languages are a plus.
